Steam Deck Dock
Finally, I think it's time to admit that Xbox has likely lost this console war.
While I’ve enjoyed a few games on my Series X, like It Takes Two, it’s now clear that PlayStation has come out as the winner. However, for me personally, it wasn’t the PlayStation that ultimately swayed my opinion—it was my Steam Deck. I genuinely love my Steam Deck. That said, I had one major issue: there was no way to share my gameplay with my family on TV. Watching and playing games together on the big screen is a common activity in my house. Right now, my wife is actively enjoying Xenoblade Chronicles 3 on the Nintendo Switch, playing it on the TV. But when it came to my Steam Deck, there was no easy way to reflect and share that experience with my wife and daughter.
Then I came across Anker's Steam Deck dock, and it has completely transformed my gaming experience. I'm really enjoying it now. The stand allows for an HDMI connection to my TV, solving my earlier issue. Since my LG TV's HDMI ports had already been fully occupied, I unplugged my Xbox Series X (which, for now, is just gathering dust—maybe I'll use it as a Blu-ray player someday). I also paired my Xbox Elite 2 controller with the Steam Deck, creating the perfect TV gaming setup. Even though the output is only 720p, my TV's upscaling does a good job, and the visuals look fine. With my Steam Deck, I usually play indie games like Sea of Stars or Disco Elysium, and the setup helps me focus on the pure fun of the game. That's another one of Steam Deck's great benefits. I’m truly grateful for the experience it's offering.
