Leiji Matsumoto

It is so sad to tell about the loss of great souls recently and repetitively, but Mr. Leiji Matsumoto passed away yesterday (85). He is the creator of Galaxy Express 999, Captain Harlock, Space Battleship Yamato, and many others. I mentioned that the opening theme of Captain Harlock was my best when Aniki was gone. I love the 2nd season of Space Battleship Yamato. I was shocked when I first watched Planet Robot Danguard Ace because it was my first time seeing a multifaceted villain in a super robot anime. And Galaxy Express 999 might have shaped my childhood.

I hope he may rest in peace in his Leijiverse.
