It's Posey Era

Right after the day that the Giants’ 2024 season ended, the team fired Farhan Zaidi and announced Buster Posey as the new president of baseball operations. I liked Farhan’s direction—he avoided unnecessary spending and focused on rebuilding the farm system. However, the result wasn't in the direction. Since the standout 2021 season, it seemed like many players lost their competitive edge. Six years was (perhaps more than) enough time to make a mark, and now it’s time to move on.

We don’t know what Posey’s era will bring, but for now, fans have reason to be happy. I found a silver lining in Posey’s statement.

Like each of you, I'm a Giants fan, my family are Giants fans, and it's important to me that we deliver a team that will create memories and experiences for this generation and future generations of Giants fans.

Yes, I need new, great memories. And I’m also grateful that he didn’t forget to mention Timmy.
