Fifty
Last month, I became a legally 50-year-old engineer. It’s incredible how fast time flies—especially the past 4-5 years, which have felt like the blink of an eye; perhaps the pandemic is partly to blame for that.
I didn’t manage to achieve one of my resolutions: writing an English Sci-Fi novel before turning 50. But instead of letting that dream go, I’ve decided to boldly update it to “in my 50s.” There’s still so much I want to accomplish. While I might not have as much time ahead as I’ve had so far—or perhaps I do; life is full of surprises—that unpredictability is what makes it so fascinating.
